They all ready have been, instead of discussing things with Andy we are now communicating with a faceless entity. The board has lost its best communicator so it has definitely been diluted.

The Watcher is sad to hear that Mazey is leaving the BOM, he is also worried that we are returning to a on man show again just as we were when Arthur Thomas was running the club & we all know what happened then.
The Watcher is also very concerned that Beaumont has fallen out with the top local amateur outfit to such an extent that they do not exist in his eyes.

Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence. In other words, it is war minus the shooting.

I not sure the club can claim to have a tight knit leadership team, when three members have left abruptly within the space of six months.

If this is the route that Beaumont wants to take and he has the funds to do so, that is his prerogative. However I would suggest he follows Simon Moran's example with Wire, rather than becoming known as a poor man's Koukash.

If you were funding it would you want to do it your way?

Fair comment.

However, it's about more than the funding, surely Ste? What about the time, and expertise being put in by all the BOM, not to mention the business contacts they can bring into the club. I would say that any departing member of the BOM, leaves a big gap - some bigger than others. Who is going to fill those gaps, financially, and time-wise?

The 'faceless entity' is in Legends Bar pre home game EVERY home game and is always happy to field any questions, as was Andy. As we have said nothing has changed.

Of course,
But most competent directors would use commercial skills, people management skills, listening skills plus tact, diplomacy and openness to get the best out of their team and achieve their objectives.
Derek is a proactive guy with loads of personality ( and allegedly a lot of money), but I am not sure he has displayed too many of these qualities.
and it looks like his pro-activeness may have left he club with a limited future if super league is not achieved.
As usual at Leigh Centurions ( as at Leigh RLFC in the past). The ''He who pays the piper mentality'' has prevailed and some of the excluded team are voting with their feet.
A great shame because the initial concept was brilliant if it had been correctly managed.

How about Christmas week in the evening at Salford Hospital or attending sad occasions with supporters families. Slight change for the worse I think !
