Ref for the Grand Final : Mon Sep 29, 2014 5:07 pm  

As it's been so long since we got to one I can't recall if it is usually a SL ref that takes charge for the Final or one of our usual suspects.

If it is a championship ref then I expect it to be one of the refs that took charge of this weekends games. Considering the Fev v Sheff game was covered by our very own Joe Cobb I have a very bad feeling that it will be Matt Thomason for us for the 3rd game in a row. I truly hope this isn't the case as I feel his style of refereeing really works against our fast, open style of play.

There are 5 SL refs with nothing to do this weekend, please let one of them take charge of the final

I thought Thomason was ok yesterday. My money's on him for Sunday.

I'm hoping it's Thaler, he reffed us V Fev in the Challenge Cup and did a very good job so he knows the teams a bit and they know him which will help everyone; also think he's been far and away the best ref we've had this year. Although I can see it being Thomason yet again or even worse, Ginger George or James "mind of a" Child, I really hope not.

I think it will be an SL ref seeing as it's on Sky.

Makes no difference who is the ref. Best team on the day always wins.

Why the obsession with the referee, surely the team is good enough to win whoever is in charge?

no, only Leigh committed 'high tackles' yesterday, and after his 1st half v Donny - NO THANKS
