Yeah I didnt think they are allowed to check but markers were clearly not square(which they wernt all game) and the guy who scored was offside(which both teams were all game). I thought all that mattered was getting the right decision but it seems that is only on some incidents though.
Im not sure how the video ref can check for some things but not others. Like a ball steal would only take a couple of quick views normally to get the right decision but refs get these wrong a decent percentage of the time yet they can check for restarts which sometimes takes quite a long time. Maybe they could have a captains call option or something where the captain can question 1 decision and send it to the screen, if they are wrong they lose the option but if they are right they keep it.
