Speaking after the game at the KC Stadium, McDermott said, "I thought our supporters were outstanding at the KC Stadium last night. Their reception and appreciation for Richard Horne on his final game before retirement was exemplary and singing for Gareth Ellis, even after he had scored against us, shows what a special club we have. Contrast that with the abuse that Tom Briscoe received throughout the game and I think it shows the class of our supporters.

"Even when the momentum turned against us, they did everything they could to try and lift the side and it was bitterly disappointing that we could not get the win for them. It was interesting at the end that Hull did a lap of honour but were soon off the pitch in contrast to our own lap of thanks a fortnight ago after the heartbreaking loss to Saints. Some of our players didn't leave the field until nearly midnight which shows the special bond between our players and our fans."

Had a t least 2 pops at us and as for Abuse aimed at Briscoe....was a few know knowt idiots in East

Home fans in booing ex-player who lied to them shocker!

McDermott is just desperate to get the fans on his side, who despite seeing their team continue to win trophies, just don't want him.

Going to Oz? He told the club he'd signed for Cronulla and then when we move on he announces to the club he's going to Leeds.

Oh that.......didn't it fall through and then Leeds sign him...either way,didn't deserve the abuse he got

Did he, ever, actually get quoted, as saying he was going, or was it that his aspirations were to get to play in Aus at some point.

Let's be honest, he's been bang average at Leeds this season, have FC really missed him?

Of course he did, as fans we've become too soft, that's why teams enjoy coming to the KC. We have even applauded away teams at times. It's unreal.

anyone who thinks they've heard "abuse" at the KC was never in the 3d at Boulevard when Schoey came back after being charge with smacking his wife!
