Everyone seems to agree Minichiello played well. That was however for the Titans. Will he do it for FC next year though? Both Hull clubs have had a few false dawns with ageing Aussie players.

And both clubs have had successes.

Think pretty much everyone agrees there's a certain amount of risk involved. But then there always is with overseas signings, regardless of age. One positive indicator though is that opposing fans feel the need to start raising doubts.

He might break his leg in the first friendly and never play again.

Lets get him over and see how it pans out.

Suggesting that a player might suddenly become poor after you've signed them is an argument for never signing anyone.

My requirements for new players are pretty simple. Are they good enough? Are they already crocked? Are they problem players e.g. with a history of laziness, violent crime or addiction? Minichedders seems like a good addition to me. Considering that Willie Mason is still playing it's not like terrible signings weren't available.

Seriously mate, you need to pack that in. I had that bloody Joel & Michael Monaghan song going round my head for ages after Magic weekend, I don't need a mini cheddars song stuck in there

I can't hear the name "Simon Finnigan" without my head going "he's got whiskers on his chinnigan"!

Although I see he's retired now, so I should be safe!
