For sale thirty brand new suits, made in 2007 never been worn but rather tear stained.
Apply to Wigan warriors rented accommodation.

2 nil will get you a win
30 nil will get you a win
75 nil is absolute humiliation.

Watched the unwashed totally wipe out the giants tonight, not a pretty sight I may add. The line speed from the pies was the reason they won so easily, it totally frustrated the giants and knocked them off kilter. If the saints are to progress they will have to match other teams line speed or devise a game plan to beat it. The wire game was an example of the saints being off pace which culminated in embarrassment for the red vee.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

You can probably count on one hand the no of games when we,ve had any decent line speed.
If we don,t concentrate on defence we will be gone in 2 matches.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Re: Line speed : Thu Sep 18, 2014 9:14 pm
Best result for us I thought.

Either way if we win or lose. I don't think we will be playing Wigan if we get into the last 4.

I HATE ALL THE PIES

Re: Line speed : Thu Sep 18, 2014 11:09 pm
I thought the aftermath quotes from both coaches were telling:

Anderson: We had a lot of things go against us and we started to play with emotion rather than sticking to our game plan ......etc"

Ape: We had a lot of things go for us............

At least they were both honest but Hudds were dire and the goons were good. I think Hudds realised early on they were not going to get anything from Deadwood for hanging on and lying on and the goons were great on the break against a defence which was totally disorganised - very Un-Hudds like.

All in all a one off.

Will Brough be back for Hudd's next game? He could have kicked them out of trouble a couple of times there. The Hudds kickers actually kicked them into trouble last night.

It still annoys me that Wigan get the benefit of the doubt around the ruck area, quite a few times they move off the mark to play the ball over and past the marker, couple of occasions played the ball not standing upright.
Also gain penalty advantage by rolling onto the last defender so he can't get up, other occasions releasing the ball when the defender has clamped the arm and ball.

So basically all the things Saints do (and all the other teams for that matter!). It just annoys you when Wigan do it. Go figure...

We and other teams are not that clever, its the officials that seems to be consistent in allowing it in a certain teams favour.

Every neutral fan in the pub was asking the same question, how did Wigan get a penalty when O'Loughlin was tackled by 3 players, he pinned down the last player (Wardle) by lying on top of him, we heard the referee shout roll away, how does Wardle do that......penalty to Wigan.

A long way from Wigan

Re: Line speed : Fri Sep 19, 2014 3:11 pm
Last night there were a number of 3 man tackle by Huddersfield, 3 rd man going in low. I've seen all teams do this, even saints.

The difference with Wigan is that they do it more than others - it takes a lot of effort and commitment to get so many people in the tackle. As long as they are not going in low and at a stopped player then fine , until the rules change otherwise.

They don't get penalised because it's not against the rules.

They also get the benefit of some fifty fifty calls, but then doesn't everyone?

Not that clever hey? I hope you're watching Saints employing all the tricks you've mentioned tonight against Cas. It seems to be working well too. Hope you're suitably annoyed!

P.S. They even tried keeping the ball in the back of the scrum a la Wigan! Whatever next?!? Haha
