Yep looking like a real battle for us to keep ourselves in the top 8 now. Very disappointing. However I still have faith in the club to get it right in the long run (ie beyond this season)

Another season of transition, how many more do we have to have befor we get it right.

Pearson bought Hull FC on July 22nd 2011
Gentle was announced as coach on 12th September 2011, he has been in charge for 19 games since he arrived.

Pearson has bankrolled more investment in youth and development in less than a year than Kath and Cronies ever did.

Patientce is a virtue we all need for this season, and possibly even next.

My only concern is whether pearson leaving hull city in acrimonious circumstances has changed his appetite for our club and hull in general.

I very much doubt it, if anything, he'll want to be the most successful team playing at the KC.

I very much doubt it, he was 'forced' out of Hull City once before, although that it was ultimately his decision to sell I understand the board 'encouraged' him to to do so.

That didn't stop him returning and saving City for a second time.

The man is a fantastic sports businessman, he took City from league 2 nobodies to an established championship team. He then saved Derby from destruction, bringing in new investors and securing their future, before returning to Hull and doing exactly the same.

He it's no secret he prefers to own a club, while at city he witnessed the mismanagement and potential at FC, identified how little money is involved and the low risks of running a RL club rather than a football club and so picked us as his new project.

He doesn't move on until his work is done and given our recent results I'd say the job is far from done!

Could have been ours

We are 2 points off 3rd place with a game in hand over the 2 teams directly above us ffs!! Yes we have thrown points away recently but who would not have taken 3 points off Saints, a draw with Warrington, a derby victory, a Leeds victory and only 5 defeats from 16 games at the start of the season???

Absolutely right. Whilst it's disappointing to lose games in the manner we have, we would have all taken our current position at the start of the season. I'm sure PG will have really let the team know how he feels (in private) and that we can expect improved performances from hereon in.

One way of looking at it I suppose. Another would be 2 wins from the last 8 games and 4 very difficult games coming up

I think the league table is one of the most exciting it has been for several years at this stage, apart from Wigan top 4 really is wide open, still every-thing to play for.

Exactly, it looks fine now, it won't after the next 4 games or so. We needed the easy points against rovers/wakey before going into this period in which no matter what form we are in, we would expect to loose a couple of games.
