That's correct as far as i'm aware. The whole things a farce, they don't really buy into the concept, so they want some form of guarantee from the super league clubs. Hence we are stumping up the costs.

So basically, what we have is 2 teams facing off for the WCC, then we have 2 super league clubs playing a glorified pre season friendly against a likely weakened aussie team that are barely fit and couldn't give a monkeys, and they get to pay for the privelidge of doing this.

Saints have won a dinner plate and the right to fund an aussie knees up.
