The older I get, the better I was

Advice is what we seek when we already know the answer - but wish we didn't

I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full-frontal lobotomy

If Allam truly was an honest man, the best thing he could do is take his millions and bugger off back home and fight for his country

City suddenly become very profitable. There's a shock.

The SMC meanwhile are suffering huge losses. Smell a rat?

http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull-City-profit-record-breaking-financial-year/story-23186465-detail/story.html

One negative to redress the balance was a reported loss of £5m from the club’s sister company, SuperStadium Management

Company Limited (SMC), who run and lease the KC Stadium.

That includes “write offs to the stadium mortgage inherited from the previous ownership” and contributes to a joint loss for City and the SMC of £1.7m for a full 12 months of trading.

City’s accounts include that a provision of £6.33m was made against amounts due from Superstadium Management Company Limited (SMC) but hopes of recovering some of that money have subsequently been dashed.

The Allams have offered to hand it back to the council (who'd then presumably look for a new partner to run it). The response from all quarters was probably more telling than these accounts.

Did the council confirm that? Can't remember.
