I'll stick with what I've always believed 84 ,he's a centre although after last night he would fit in anywhere, he is a "Rugby League Player"full stop.

he would be touted as an England international if he played for certain other clubs.
thought he was brilliant last night, despite having no recognised half backs for 60 minutes he stood up to it very well and was even throwing his weight around with manu,soliola etc!

I'd like to see him line up alongside brough in the halves next season.

Next years spine I'd like.....

1. Murphy.
6. Connor.
7. Brough.
9. Lunt.
14. Robinson.

Is the Ellis signing a given? The way we've finished the regular season, I don't see him getting in the team, with the pivot options we already have.

I was thinking that exact team on Thursday, but maybe a playoff game is not the time to try out a new half back partnership??

Ellis would be behind woody too! Not forgetting leeming who's still waiting in the wings as a specialist hooker.

the problem i see now with jake is that he has impressed in 3 different positions in the first team and has done really well at centre in the 19's, could he become a victim of his own success by not having a specialised position?
would he become a first choice centre,winger,full back or half back or a utility player who can anywhere in the back 3 or in the halves?
whatever happens we need to keep him in the first team if that means senior players miss out then so be it, he has earned his place and should keep it now and others should have to fight their way back in.

At 19 Meast he still has some growth in him,he certainly has all the attributes to make an exceptional player I think we should let the coaches and Jake himself settle what is quite an exciting problem.(Centre, for my money)

i agree bilko, what i meant was do we develop him as a specialised full back/centre/winger/half back and see him as the number 1 in that position or do we use him as a utility player which means he is only used as cover for the players already in those positions?

i think with his good running game he would make as good a stand off as a full back and he has a decent kicking game too.

but it's great that we have a player that can offer us this, we have all known about his talent and potential for some time,for me next season he has to be given an opportunity to really make his mark on this team.

half backs are like gold dust, maybe we should try make develop him into this kind of player
