It really needs to be a good cross section of support, and lets hope it is.
The rest of us need to give this a chance. There's no point labelling people attention seekers or botherers before the group has even been announced or met - I dare say good people haven't applied precisely because they didn't want that label.
At this stage all we know is that this group will be choosing the new kit - we don't know if that will be starting with a blank canvas or asking them to chose between 2 or 3 options. Beyond that we haven't heard anything about what they will do - whether they will be a sounding board for ideas, whether they will be asked to consult and come up with ideas, or whther they would actually have any decision making remit in any area.
I've always been an advocate of fan involvement in the running of sports clubs so we'll see how its done. I hope they sort out clear terms of reference so everybody knows how it is supposed to work. The main thing that could affect credibility is that "supporters reps" have been chosen by the club and not the supporters.
