I thought Salford Faithful was Louise or Red City Girl and that she'd had a spat with the Doc?

I actually have a bad feeling about this. I think its a great idea on paper but in practice I doubt it will work. Its basically going to be perceived as those *enter offensive word* who run SalfordFaithful versus us "The Scarlet Turkey Crew". Now don't get me wrong, I dont agree with those generalised groupings but I feel as if Its the way it will be viewed. Also, can anyone actually see Marwan not losing his sanity if hes sat in a boardroom with some of our fans? Like I say, Im for this in principle but I have a feeling it will dissolve and be forgotten about as the fans on the board will have no real authority.

It's a great idea if the right people are chosen. Pick the wrong people and it will be like one flew over the cuckoos nest...

There lies the crux, I do honestly think it's a brilliant idea but I worry what sort of an informed opinion you can make on someone's one paragraph submission.

What worries me slightly is that there are a lot of great, honest, and worthy fans to fill those spots. But as we all know, these people are the type of people who wouldn't dream of applying.

It really needs to be a good cross section of support, and lets hope it is.

The rest of us need to give this a chance. There's no point labelling people attention seekers or botherers before the group has even been announced or met - I dare say good people haven't applied precisely because they didn't want that label.

At this stage all we know is that this group will be choosing the new kit - we don't know if that will be starting with a blank canvas or asking them to chose between 2 or 3 options. Beyond that we haven't heard anything about what they will do - whether they will be a sounding board for ideas, whether they will be asked to consult and come up with ideas, or whther they would actually have any decision making remit in any area.

I've always been an advocate of fan involvement in the running of sports clubs so we'll see how its done. I hope they sort out clear terms of reference so everybody knows how it is supposed to work. The main thing that could affect credibility is that "supporters reps" have been chosen by the club and not the supporters.
