Leigh Centurions have teamed up with Williams & Co Solicitors www.williamsinjurylaw.co.uk and the Think Ahead Stroke awareness campaign to enter a Centurions Dragon Boat in the Think Ahead Dragon Boat challenge on Friday 5th September at Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club. Paul Williams of Williams & Co Solicitors approached the club with the amazing idea of a Centurions boat filled with players and fans and Tom Spencer was the first player to pledge his rowing skills to the challenge Tom Spencer commented “I’m really competitive so its definitely something I want to get involved with the fact we get to do something like this for such a great cause and with the Leigh fans makes it even more special although I don’t know how we are going to pick just five to join me and the boys!” Yes, that’s right you can be part of the Centurions Dragon Boat team on the day. The boys will pick five supporters to join them in the boat all you have to do is submit your name email address and your reasons as to why you should be the one ‘Spenner’ and the boys pick and the winners will be drawn on the 29th August and posted on the Centurions website, twitter and facebook page. Leigh player Ryan Brierley has also joined the team and there will be further announcements of who will be joining them in the coming weeks. To enter the competition please email your reasons why you should join the Centurions Dragon boat team to enquiries@leighrl.co.uk. Good luck. And remember , if you’ve had an accident CALL PAUL on 01942 369055 I am all over this. I might sink the boat and drown our players, but I really want a go |
