I have to agree with Rico and Walter, this was a polished display by the Young Wolves. There were one or two things thought caught my eye. Firstly the tempo was very good, that has been missing in some recent games and has allowed teams (Wigan Saints) to take the initiative, also the error count was very low. Hudds played very well, and it was a pleasure to watch a high quality game that was played out to the end, despite the Wolves going in with a substantial lead at half time. I think I would give my MOM to Declan Kay. He was moved to FB following an injury to Jack Johnson and looked very good. He has always excelled under the high ball, and his pace makes him very dangerous running the ball back. But he was very prominent joining the line and backing up breaks as well, so a pretty complete performance at FB. Also noticeable was Tom Walker who really set the tone in the forwards. His tackling was excellent and he is uncompromising taking the ball up. He has added that bit of steel to the pack that we will need in the playoffs.
Saints beat Leeds last night, so we still need one more win to take the league. That should come against Wakey next Thursday however, as they sit bottom of the table with only 5 wins.
