When John Lennon was asked "Is Ringo Star was the best drummer in the World?" His answer was he is not even the best drummer in the Beatles. That is how I see Murrell in our team.

I personally think Murrell is class when he is at loose forward and not in the halves. but I rate Fieldhouse better than him and johnstone definitely next year if he keeps up with what he has done this year IMO

A very good reply , Murrell is indeed a good player , I admit that , but a bit overated by some .

Think he was awesome when he first arrived,but has gone someway downhill
since then.

How many times does this happen ?I know a few players who impress to start and then go down hill , if you can keep your Pack together next season , you have the basis of a good team , for me Ambler is a Must for your player of the Season .

Correct Ian, and how many players have done the same? It's not rocket science! The Brewery Tap Leeds with junior Hudd-Shay. Thornbridge Kipling 5.2%. £4.00 a pint! Mmm. Bloody Hell!

Most who "go downhill" are coming from a full time environment. When playing part time they lose "an edge", be it a bit of fitness or half a yard of pace.

This is the most worrying part of the other teams in the second tier. Part time will struggle to compete with full time imo .

Some very good players with well paid jobs like part time and the second income and will play for the likes of Fax.
The club needs to search out this type of player now and am sure they are.
