your completely right but he made a poor decision I think in fev's first set when he said that saxton hadn't collected the ball behind the try line which gave fev another set which they scored from and we just never seem to recover from that but apart from that it was the tactics that lost the game not the ref IMO

Also why do we bother with linesmen,in the 1st half at one scrum when Fev were defending he raised his flag to indicate where the defensive line should be and when they didnt move back he went and stood in line with them !!

I've just watched the DVD footage of that incident. Saxton clearly jumped from the field of play, so although he landed in the in-goal area a goal-line drop-out was the correct decision.
