Just been on the Wakefield forum to put them right about the relevant populations of Wakefield and Huddersfield. In Cornwall at the moment on holiday moving shortly to Devon so going to miss the game against Widnes unfortunately.

Ahh, the mists of time!!
So you did actually get decent crowds once upon a time then? Surely they must have gone to the game on horse and cart unlike your mini bus full nowadays

No keyboard warriors in them days either. Make sure you come back on next season and let us know how many you get against those championship sides. I take it you will be hitching rather than going by minibus or horse and cart.

Hi Golcargiant.I was'nt at Wembley for the cup win against Saints in 1952(against all odds I understand),but my dad was and he told me all about it.Thats when I got interested and started going to fartown.I lived in Birkby at the time so it was only a short trip.My first trip to Wembley was the cup defeat to Wakefield in 1962(beaten by Don Fox as I recall) but followed on by going to the play of final at Odsal where we got revenge and denied Wakefield the winning of all four cups.
