A good solid performance- and the "team spirit" was there for all to see. Woods speed from the ruck caused Catalan all sorts of problems and got us on the front foot in those first 20 minutes. Those that have said he isn't good enough must surely have second thoughts now. Still a few silly errors -but that means we still have room to improve going forward to the business end!
The other results from today did us some favours too!

a decent performance i thought,much improved, although catalan were poor at times, we looked up for it today.
one thing i noticed was after every big hit and forced error there was a lot of back slapping and head patting, something we haven't seen much recently, that shows that if they weren't previously, the team were back together again today!
let's hope this will kick start us (again) wigan and warrington losing gives us a sniff of the top 4 now it's up to us to carry it on.

I hope we are signing Smurph back on because he makes me feel much more confident in our back line for composure.

Thought we were ok today, didn't need anything special cos Catalans were poor, Wood looked dangerous at times, thought Kaufusi was our best forward today, Eorl continues to frustrate me though.

Murphy was solid as ever, ta'ai dangerous at times but still made hid usual errors, everyone else were ok though, not really a bad performance.

Some are saying Catalan were poor. I don`t agree, our lads upped their defensive effort and forced errors and stopped their forwards making many yards. A big improvement overall .

Personally, I thought that was our best performance since our cloud nine game at Wigan.

Much Much better !!

More team spirit / better defence and you got the feeling they were playing for each other -and enjoying it

In my view I expected a hard fought encounter --but we bottled up their forwards and consequently their backs never got the space to shine --except for a couple of isolated instances

You play the team thats out there facing you- and adapt to nullify their strongest qualities --and thats what we sid in fine style

Another team -and you have to adapt to different tactics

But I agree that we played their game plan top notch - it wasnt in my opinion a poor Catalan display -they weren`t allowed to get a foothold
More of the same now --and lets kick on!

I felt we were good for most of the game, not brilliant but a good solid display. We started slowly again though - I know we scored after about 5 minutes, but the first four sets all ended with knock ons (two by each side). On our 3rd set Catalans gave away a silly penalty on second tackle and defended our attack poorly (not taking anything away from Kyle Wood, he saw the gap and exploited it). Catalans did not complete their next two sets either.

We were lucky in so far as in those first few minutes we got ahead as despite stating poorly, Les Dragons were much more inept than us. After the first 10 minutes I thought we played well, won comfortably. In recent weeks I would say we have rarely got out of second gear, we were up into fourth today which was good, but I think we have a couple of gears to go.

I like many left the ground pleased with the performance. I thought Kaufusi was our best forward, closely followed by Ukuma (who would have shaded it if he knocked on less - though he had one amazing catch!). I also thought that Koppy had his best game for some time.

it was a step in the right direction, no way getting carried away with the performance as like i say catalans were shocking as is often the case away from home.

crabtree frustrates daz? no doubt crabtree will be up there in the top tacklers again, gets through a mountain of work that some people just tend to forget, tightens up the middle like lawrence does and does big minutes. still a first choice pick for me people need to get off his back.

kaufusi is really impressing me since he came back, showing us why we brough him here.

cudjoe injured with a hip problem in examiner today... so some saying he has handed in a transfer request seems abit wide of the mark?

Apparently Leroy's pulled a small muscle at the top of the leg/hip which is used when kicking [so my daughter explained!]. Ironical that he might have done it whilst preventing Brough's injury from getting worse!
