Green would be a risky signing, again another one I can understand as he is a controlling half.

He is generally untested though and it would be a bit of a project signing which could go either way.

He is OOC though I think so again a possibility that makes sense if again not a signing that will put bums on seats initially, but realistically that type of player these days is unrealistic.

I do not believe for a second Finch would leave wigan just to be a back up player for 1 year.

i'm sorry but if he wants to get involved with the coaching side..he could easily find a club after another 2 years here as a first teamer.

I'd personally welcome Blake Green with Open arms. I think he can really control a game and has a good kick too. I'd be happy with that.

Is the prospect of Finch being persuaded to stay on, a dead duck then?

All been a bit quiet on the new jobs front for him.

Did I get the impression, earlier in the season, that SW was a bit slow off the mark trying to persuade him to stay?

Maybe he wants to play less games due to his age but wants to get paid a decent wedge for doing so, maybe he's sick of feeling rough after a game, or could it be he's sick to death of the weather as well and wants to be back home with friends and family

It's been reported in the Aus that Finch is 100% going back there next year to start his media career and he's not sure if he'll be playing next season. He had an offer to work with Mathew Johns before he left and it's pretty obvious he sees a media role as a long term career path.

Fair play to him. Hes at the wrong end of his career and needs to make sure he has a career after he has finished playing. I for one wish him the best of luck
