Correct. However some other posters obviously believe it was Agar that spotted them.
No point arguing though.

However to me she was responsible for a bit of business that totally over shadowed any of those signings

It seems you would have us believe those two statements are linked together, perhaps you could enlighten us what are in the dark as to the link please.

Wakey have done well of late. Fair play to you. The charge for a top 8 place is well under way.

However, I think a certain man deserves credit for what's going on at your place right now.

Richard Agar put in so much of the groundwork, hardwork and James Webster is now reaping the rewards. I think it's high time Wakefield fans acknowledged this.

I'm getting on a bit now so would you younger folks explain to me..is this what they call trolling? It's certainly a joke. Or it is Richard Agar, or his wife or Mum

At a guess I would say that Agar had a big influence in the signings' D. Smith, Anderson, Ryan, Godinet, and the loan of Chris Riley, not bad for somebody supposedly clueless.

Well, if he did...if...he sure didn't know how to make a team out of the players he spotted. I have said Agar is a back room boy before and I stand by that. He may well have spotted talent and I'm sure he knows something about the game. But as a coach, organiser and motivator the evidence is overwhelming...he is clueless

Hey Charlie I didn't mean to offend you I've never been a big fan of his myself, I never wanted him in the first place after what the Hull fans were saying about him, but like a lot of others' I just accepted him, I was not bigging him up just saying that as far as I'm concerned he did okay with recruiting some of the players' he brought in at short notice as far as I'm concerned the rest is history.

As far as trolls go, this is one of the better ones.

I think Agar does deserve some credit though, he was involved in the most pivotal game of the season, had Trinity not lost the game away to Bradford he may still have been head coach stinking the place out. Even with the favourable run of home games I could see, at the most, two wins out of those five with Agar in charge and the relative comfort Trinity are experiencing would be a million miles away.

Yes..we might have squeaked 2 or 4 points. We would still have been mathematically able to be relegated I suspect. And it would have been dismal. The way Webster has played players in their correct positions, played the interchanges spot on and, judging by his post match comments, reads the game and knows how to say the right things, shows us what a decent coach looks like vs a poor one

I remember after the Wigan match, I think Webster said "We need to go away and look at why we played so well this week compared to previously" or similar. I immediately had more confidence then the previous 2 years

That's a poor argument Charlie...

I'm sure Agar would love to have played more players in their correct positions....and I'm sure he would have loved to have had a Tim Smith to steer his side around the park....

Fact is though, through a really tough period we were without our best 3 centres....Collis, Lyne, Keinhorst....our two best strike forwards....Lauititi, Tautai....and were having to play a busted up captain because we were that desperate for points....

Webster IMHO hasn't done anything team selection wise that Agar wouldn't have done if he was still here...nothing major anyway.....and the team have turned things around just as they did 2 seasons back when Agar was in charge....

I also think Bradford have proved last week and tonight just what a massive difference your perfomance on the pitch has when that pressure of relegation is taken from your shoulders.....I think it affects players performance much more than people think....Jimmy Lowes played it down when they turned Wigan over, but going to Leeds and winning tonight speaks volumes in that respect to me......it also speaks volumes in respect of Leeds missing 4 or 5 key quality players....the same we were missing through the tough run....it shows that taking that amount of quality out of ANY side and you will struggle to beat most teams in the league...

Webster is still not picking the homegrown that Agar was roundly criticised for not playing.....

Webster is still picking players who only got into the side because they were Agar's mates....i.e...Washbrook & Lyne......oh hang on a minute....wouldn't that be 2 of our best and most consistent performers throughout the whole season?

If Agar is such a poor coach how has he had so much success player wise....the majority of his signings have been fantastic...he's found us some real diamonds in his time here under ridiculously tough circumstances....in fact signings that have gone on to play a huge part in saving our club when we were in the brown stuff 12 months ago......the side is now full of excellent bargain players Agar signed.....

Also, if he was such a poor coach why would one of the best and most knowledgable coaches in the game (Tony Smith) be taking him to Warrington? Smith has forgotten more about coaching at the top level than you could ever dream of knowing.....give the man a break ffs....
