Yeah i would agree that he is one of our best players of the superleague era, probably at his peak during the jason smith era in 2004 when he formed the great attacking axis with smith, cooke and was responsible for a lot of shaun briscoe's tries. Also got in the dream team that year. However he's been a decent player for us right up until last season though some would argue he's never been the same since his serious injury and diabetes diagnosis in 2008.i also agree he can't really be regarded as a hull fc great - that's quite an exclusive club in my view, but certainly one of FCs most loyal clubmen
also one of the few one club men who made their debuts in the last century still playing the game - not many of these around now, sinfield and wellens spring to mind
