Happy clapper point 3 :- Jordan James is good enough for what Wane want's him for.

End of message.

What's that? Be slow around the ruck, make zero impact with the ball and then be knackered after a couple of jogs? Wane's asking a lot of him isn't he.

Wane has earned the right to do as he sees fit.

He's still lost his marbles on this though. I've never seen a player as off the pace as James is in my time watching the sport.

I actually feel sorry for James more then anything when I watch him. His body can't do what his mind wants him to. He looks like he'd make a fine coach and it would be more beneficial to him to concentrate on that now.

Haven't got the foggiest why we would retain Jordan James. Surely Greenwood, Sutton and Hopkins would be better options if injuries kick in. James was good in his first stint with us and left me with fond memories but he needs to call it a day

Retaining James would be a farce - frankly if it were to happen it would strike me as more a personal decision than a professional one.

Wanes comments smack of that. He's a good bloke to have around the squad so let's keep him on. He could still be a good bloke and a good influence with his coaching cap on.

Maybe it's the old prop forwards network coming in to effect!

Or maybe he just thinks he's good enough for a place in the team.

Ah, good taste!
What a dreadful thing!

the scenario is that a squad player would like another season. we are getting close to the business end of the year, and he is still an integral part of the Club.
do you
a) tell him "sorry pal. no chance fo rnext year" or
b) tell him "youre doing well. i'll consider you for a new contract"

it would appear to me that SW has taken option b) which is a pretty sensible.

i really would worry about a lot of the posters on here when it came to man mangement ! ;-)

He's staying on as a coach anyway. And his reward to carry on playing for the rest of the season is he gets the chance to win a Super League winners ring.

you have just signed Goulding so i doubt it.

It looks like Taylor is 100% staying.

This is a complete guess but the Taylor to Hull rumours seemed to die down a bit around the time they signed Sneyd. I wonder if they have shelled out big money on him and now aren't willing to stump up a fee for Taylor as well? I think there is definitely something in this girlfriend's homesickness rumour because it's been rumbling along pretty much all season, but if we have got him for next season I really hope Rads, Wane and Lenegan can work wonders and persuade him to stay long-term. He'd be top of the list for a 5 year contract IMO.
