He had to get the chance to become that complete player tho , and for Wigan if they wer down to the last body's they would put youngsters in , oh and most play in the original positions

Jack Hughes is/ was a centre in academy, is a second row in first team, Powell and Williams are both halfbacks who have played hooker this year, just to name a few Wigan kids playing out of position this year.

He will get his chance. It's not now or never. It might be next season or a few after that, but to get it he needs to impress the right people, which he hasn't done so far. That doesn't mean he won't do, but by your argument every player in the academy should play super league to "get his chance" but it doesn't work like that.

You said he doesn't stand out, he pointed out that he often gets named as a stand out in match reports (maybe the writer sees more of him than even superfan St Pete?) and opposition supporters.
