He can do, and he can win penalties for it

But hey, he's the bedrock of our pack whatever else people want him to be - and when he doesn't start we are even worse at meeting the opposition and when he's off you can tell

Fwiw I've looked at a lot of stats this week and Crabtree is up there with anyone in SL - I'd rather have 10 solid good meter making drives than one flashy break and 10 minutes hiding

Also Joe Wardle misses a lot of tackles

wardle does miss a lot of tackles, which isn't good, but then again for every missed tackle he will put 2 or 3 crunchers in, i can live with that most of the time.

Kaufusi is a bit like Wardle in that he will miss a few but puts in some crunchers. He leads the defensive line with his speed off the line so is going to be side stepped now and again but like Wardle I can live with that. He gets in faces which is the way to force errors.

I don't think the number of missed tackles by Wardle is something that he, the team or the fans should be happy to live with. It's an area of his game that he should be working very hard on to improve. It's not like if he improves this area of his game it may be to the detriment of another aspect of his game.

I'm a massive fan of his but it's an area he really needs to work on and I'm sure he is.

Agree RE Wardle, when he gets it right he gets it right but he does have a tendency to stick an arm out and grab rather than fully commit. He's a superb player and improving in that area will make him one of the best in the game in my opinion.

missing the number he does is not good enough, sure he will be working on it, needs too. Yes puts in the big hits but id rather he make a try saving tackle saving 4 points than a big hit.

he does seem to be getting quicker in his speed sprinting clear for a few tries lately

oh i agree, he does need to work on it, but what im saying is it doesn't get noticed as much because he then does some very good defensive work and is a massive threat on attack.
no player is perfect but i would rather a player miss a few tackles but the contribute massively in other area's like wardle does.
