McDermott is going. I actually think he is more relaxed because of it, and seems to have let the shackles go. He apparently asked to finish the season, and that is what they agreed.
And here comes the deadbeats of RL. They'd rather see a poor product, that's in constant decline as long as it means Wigan dont win. Anyone that moans about the standard is just a poor loser.
Doesn't matter about FACTS such as the above as long as Wigan didn't win and the trolls can have thier cheap digs.
So, aside from the fact that you had an off day and your team of wunder kids lost to championship fodder, what was so bad with the game compared to, say, a bottom of the table clash 10 years ago?
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

except ferris (?) did play for bradford 10 years ago and crabtree turned down the chance to go leeds and saints IIRC
and I'm fairly sure we would have taken Brough in the halves over Danny Orr! I love how he leaves out most of the actual superstars of our game and goes mainly for players who are at best on the fringes of England selection. Here's a list of 13 legit superstars who would have still been big names had they played 10 years ago

Really unsure if you are being sarcastic with the above selection or if it finally proves that you don't have a clue.
Charnley in the centre really? I'm talking about guys like Gleeson, Lyon, Senior or Renouf and you put a current winger in at 3? Does that not simply prove the point i'm trying to make? I've named 4 legends and you've named a winger.
You think Brough is on the level of Lam, Long or Trent? Do you really believe that? Heck Walsh is a good player but he's not as good as the above.
Westwood, Hill or Hock? Again struggling to see why you would bring these guys up when i'm talking about Ellis, Faz and Scully. Even the best players in your pack of Peacock, Roby or Lockers aren't as good as what we had 10 years ago.
Serious question - Do you honestly think the game today is as good as what it was 10 years ago?

No I don't think SL is as good as it was, mainly because the salary cap hasn't increased meaning guys like S.Tomkins, Graham and the Burgess' leave and the better NRL players aren't coming over. We still have some stars though who would have played in any SL team 10 years ago and I think it's daft to ignore them just to suit your point

It's not ignoring them. They are decent players but aren't in the elite bracket so why mention them. There's only really Roby or Hall who deserve to be mentioned.
Another pointless argument on this forum with people being pedantic over minute details. We both agree SL is declining but instead of just agreeing you want to instead put forward a pointless list of players including a winger at Centre!
