I refrained from making comment for this reason as 'Crumulent' means something else entirely. I was wondering if he was taking a sideways swipe at me being FOS.

Ah, shucks. I actually googled it to check as well and was given links to said episode. I felt rather embiggened that I'd been able to use it.

Anyhow, on topic. If we can indeed learn from the Newcastle youth structures then it would be fantastic, but regardless of how good our structures and facilities are we still have the obstacle to overcome of us (by a distance) not being the most popular sporting draw in town in terms of getting local youngsters playing.

He talks about horse racing interests, and of course the Hunter Valley (area around Newcastle) is the home of horse breeding in Aus, and the Knights stadium shares a carpark with a major racetrack, which you can actually look at from the back of the Andrew Johns stand.

Think we'd see pre season in Australia if the Doc did buy Newcastle. You'd think having both squads training together for a certain spell and maybe playing a warm up game or two would benefit both teams and certainly from our point of view be an improvement on this years South Africa experiment.
