Got to say I was disappointed with the lack of appreciation given by the players to the fans that traveled to France on Saturday. We were in the temporary seats in the corner and only Kirmo, Sykes and Matty Ryan made an effort to come close and thank the support, which was fantastic given the performance and result on the day.

We were sat in the corner of the stand at the back of the goal and I thought pretty much all the players came to that corner of the ground and applauded the fans.

Kirmo and a few others were shaking hands with fans but I did not feel that the players snubbed the fans at all.

I'm disappointed when they do - I prefer my sporting heroes to leave the field of play with a look of haughty contempt, safe in the knowledge that the unwashed masses would cry like big girls if they had to endure what they've just put their bodies through for 80 minutes.

I guess its an individual thing but I couldn't give a toss if they come over and clap the fans or not.

Certainly not if they have just let in 40 points! I'd be sick of the sight of them (until next week).


Happy to share in victory with them but just want to go after a big defeat and expect them to feel the same.

I know I'm the overly positive one but this post could easily have been:

Title: Pleased

I was at the French game and was really pleased that even though they got beaten heavily, Kimond still brought a few players over to say thank you to the supporters.
I know they don't have to and have knocks to take care of but really appreciate the effort.

I guess it just depends on your outlook.

It's pathetic . If any one wants to hang around to get a wave good luck . After a trampling like that I would much rather they ran down the tunnel ASAP, and take their sorry arses with them.

To be fair with the amount of stick they got from that area during the game I'm not surprised they didn't come any closer at full time.
