Could easily have won ? Maybe not - but certainly we had our chances to win. I thought the second half performance was very good indeed.

Easily have got a score when we had them on the ropes and were forcing errors. That's what I meant by it, that's why I was gutted but proud at the end of the game. If only we could have settled down and got in their faces a bit more in the first half, it may have been a different story.

Good report Danny - thanks. My take was that Leigh's first half dominance came from a glut of possession, some of which came from a fair share of fortune. In the second half, Sheffield showed what they are capable of, and I would fully expect them to climb back into the play-offs now - they are too good to be in a relegation dogfight

One curious point for me, was the 'low profile' of your regular three South Sea islanders. In the past, we've had all sorts of problems with QLT, Misi and Menzie, yet yesterday they were very subdued. Perhaps that was down to good marking, but their usual spark and class seemed to be missing. Perhaps that's one of the reasons you aren't up there near the top?

Anyway, good luck for the rest of this season, and with a new stadium - which is a must. Here's hoping we don't meet at LSV in the play-offs!

Good point about the three players for me Menzie is now starting to show his age I think his future will be in the forwards. Q I think is lacking confidence he has no room to shine at Owlerton and I think that's knocked him back. As for Misi he's been a standout this season he always gives 100%, I couldn't get to the game Sunday so I didn't see how he went on maybe he just had an off day?

QLT has struggled this season but made a few breaks against Leigh and did well to keep us in game by taking Brierley out of play. Menzie has been quiet also, maybe we'll see some better performances once the team decides to start playing like we know they can. Misi's a rock and a brilliant player, he leaves everything out on the field and we can't ask for more than that.

I agree that there was no lack of effort on Misi's part - it was just that the expected spark and class were missing, for me. QLT did take Brierley out after he'd made a break but, likewise, Brierley tracked down QLT comfortably, after he'd broken clear. Perhaps these 'Rhino' balls are heavy for the carrier, eh?
