Good that he's staying, he's been decent this season and will continue to improve.

I thought he was already under contract for next year though as when he originally joined it was stated he had signed a two year contract. Now it is reported today that it was only a one year deal. Is it really that hard for the club to report the facts correctly?

I remember someone from Leeds saying that Dan was further advanced than Kyle Amor was when we signed him. I have to say that I agree with him and this trend has continued as he is still further ahead of Amor than he was at the end of his first stint with us.

Genuinely believe we have an international forward on our hands here. With all due respect to Kirmo, who works his do-dah's off for us, Smith has the build to go with the talent and the effort. It's all up to him now, but the world is his Oyster.

Exciting to think that we can watch his progress in RW&B.

Great news and from what we saw of Simon on Saturday add this to Scruton we will have some real physicality in our pack

Stupid decision IMO - We could have used the money to re-sign Frankie Mariano from Cas as he is clearly the best forward in all of SuperLeague

Unquestionably a good catch - Smith has all the attributes to be a great forward and despite the maturity in his game, has his best years ahead of him.

Really good news. Thought he would've been snapped up by Cas if available. Especially as they need to strengthen their pack if CHuby is leaving.

Great resigning, he comes from a solid RL background where the game is in the blood, spent time in a superb youth system at Leeds, has experience of playing at a very high standard of Rugby at South Sydney where he was very well thought of, and now has a full year of SL under his belt yet he's only 21 years old.

on a side note, maybe his younger brother will feel like joining him sometime

Good signing for WTW. Great prospect is Dan and should really kick on to be one of the best back rowers within a couple of years.
