I think all we need is consistency, Fev have got away with a lot in recent years under Powell so take both teams back the ten and be even handed at the ruck and we are all happy

I have to say that Ben Thaler is probably the best ref we have right now.

Why are folk so obsessed with Refs ?No matter what occurs the Ref plays it as he sees it , nothing will change , im more interested in Leighs performance , not the guy in the middle .

Exactly. As Brad Fitler said the other day "If the ref's decision decides your game. You haven't done enough prior."

In a way Im glad its a Super League Ref, he would take any messing lol , and rightly so, also the players wont get away with any silly stuff. Should make for a good clean game!!!

Could be worse, so long as he's consistent. Fev have always been very good at playing the ref, they know precisely the maximum amount of messing about you can get away with then kick up a right fuss when other teams do half as much as they do. Unfortunately when we get a ref (usually a ginger one) that doesn't really know what's happening at the best of times they do get conned and we end up losing out. So long as we keep our discipline we should be fine.
