Saints v Wigan U16's 11a.m Saturday 12th April
Saints v Wigan U19's 7 p.m Wednesday 15th April.

Why not get down there and support/encourage the young lads (from both teams.)


Three times in just over a week for me at Saints, that'll be my penance for lent done.

Great game between two well matched teams and played in a very good spirit.

It finished Saints 26 - Wigan 30 but it could have gone either way and draw would have been a fair result. For Saints Costello and the scrum half Rob ? were outstanding.

For Wigan Eckford, Wells and Dudley played well with Verity taking his tries from good finishing.

Final score Saints 20 Wigan 64.
Far too one sided to be a good game, but Wigan did score some spectacular tries, one from Hampshire when he dummied three players and then beat another two to go under the posts probably the pick.

The Wigan winger Forsyth looks like a young Joe Burgess.

In a one sided game like that it's difficult to judge, but both centres Gildart and Higginson went well. However it was all on the back of a dominant pack performance and to be fair Saints were missing/resting a few of their better players.

But Wigan could have included Burgess, Williams, Tierney, Bretherton and Shorrocks.

Hey Rogues, i am sure the winger Liam Forsyth toured Australia last October with the St Helens youth team. could be a good pickup for Wigan then.
