To be honest I think it's more to do with both himself and the team as a whole having more confidence than last season. I can certainly see why Leeds took a punt on him, he's big, quick and can offload. Whether he'll advance much beyond a useful squad player I don't know (I'm not writing him off by the way) and also being a squad player isn't necessarily a negative either. Especially since the jump from academy to 1st team has just got wider.

Will have to wait and see him produce against better teams before we can properly judge where he's at.

Interesting to note afterwards, McDermott in his post match talk. Saying whereas some are of the thinking of putting young/new players in the team and they'll eventually come good over games/time, he says players should only be picked after/when they've proven they're good enough to be picked.

Bit of a stupid viscous circle that. How does one prove themselves if not given the opportunity first?

If his comment is taken out of context and he really meant, they will only take the shirt when proved themselves, then fair enough. If he meant how you put, then a poor comment to make.

And has for Achurch, the guy has not being shy in his own assessment of his time here. Constantly saying that limited game time is not helping his game at all. Perhaps the change in minutes on field, is why he looks better.

Really, what games have you been watching. Been outstanding last few games, albeit against week opposition, but some times that's just what a player needs to get the confidence going.

I watched last night's game and I didn't see him contribute that much? Compared to Ablett or Singleton he provided far less penetration IMO.
Against a side like Bradford - if he is as good as you say - he should be running riot but he didn't.

Let's see what Monday and Saturday bring?

thats a good question. i can only see the financial side getting worse. the ground is the key. they need to get out and move. difficult as they don't own it but thats the key for me.
i really fear for bradford. can only see them going one way and thats down
