Following on from the comments on the previous thread, I shall be looking to drop in to the Eagle and Child in Whitefield en-route to the ground.

You had me worried Gary when I saw the original Real Ale thread locked. I thought it was part of your teatotal plan

Managed a drink in both the Parkfield Arms (TT's Landlord) and the Eagle & Child (Holts Bitter 4.0%) today.

We've had the Chairman's Stout on at the bluecoat, which is very good, and the Coal Black Porter, which I missed

The Stout remains the only one I haven't had yet. It'll have to go some to surpass the Darleys Ghost though.

Watched Man City v Bolton in the Tut last night. Pity about the result but the 6 pints of H&H Olde Trip was some compensation.

The Beverley had Marstons Sweet Chariot 4.8% on yesterday (I think there must be some competition on at the moment in that other sport ) and Brains SA 4.2% (always enjoyable).

Thorne Brewery Meet the Brewer Night at the Bluecoat,
Rotherham on Feb 25th. Certain to be there will be Best Bitter , Pale Ale and Coal Black Porter. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will find a barrel of Darley's Ghost and/or Chairman's Stout for we alcoholics
