Had a bit of bad luck as well. A different bounce of the ball would have seen us take 8 points from the first four matches, not 4, and still be in the Cup.
Whereas a different bounce of the ball would have seen Saints lose at Cas, Leeds, against us in the Cup and maybe even Wakefield too. They could have played exactly as they have done, without that bit of luck, and lost the last six games.
I still think the full story of this season hasn't been written. The Giants are much better than their form. St Helens aren't anyway close to being as good as the hype that they've generated. Wire are genuinely a shadow of the team they were, but Leeds seem to have found yet another year out of the old guns. Cas have come from nowhere, but they look pretty good to me.
I can see Wigan slipping through almost unnoticed and winning it again TBH.
Plenty to play for yet.
