I voted for Kear for 3 reasons
1. We need more bodies to compete, given they are unlikely to come from Super League clubs or overseas quickly enough, they are likely to come the championship and Kear has good knowledge of the players in that league
2. He has experience of battling against a very tight budget and producing competitive committed sides.
3. He is a motivator, players perform for him. My neighbor is club doctor for Batley, and a typical 50 year old. He says after hearing a Kear oratory before a game, he would go out and perform for the team!

Our defense hasn't been good enough for 6 years and above. Capable of isolated heroic deeds but in general not good enough. On the basis all SL players can tackle, it has down to the right structure. For too long we've had to score 30+ points to be in with a fair chance of winning. Should be score 20 you're in with a fair chance. Appreciate in last 3 years finances may have prevented us make coaching changes, but whatever happens next, that has to be a very high priority.

I went on Thursday but not yesterday,watched all the tries on Super League Fulltime tonight, Thursdays was even worse when sober and yesterday, as the score line suggests was absolutely disgusting

Ditto, went on Thursday and that was bad enough, couldn't face a repeat at Wigan. 2 years ago when we won at the DW was one of my best memories of over 40 years as a supporter, how far we've fallen

Seriously though, I agree about Kear and its for very similar reasons I would be happy to see him at the helm. He has a very real and very current experience of who is available and worthy at Championship level - as well as plenty of knowledge at SL level as well from his media work and general experience.

I think he could work to a budget and make a real difference, whereas I think Noble would need a lot of money to effect worthwhile change.

That's true. I spent a large part of the 2nd half with my head in my hands but would have guessed I'd have needed a calculator. I'm probably gonna be slaughtered for this but should Kearney not be taking some responsibility for the poor organisation of our defensive line. As full back he should be organising them particularly when defending on the line, but it seems like organised chaos there at the moment.
