GO there or thereabouts is no good this season , you MUST be in the top 2 to get any decent Prize money , 3 rd place is not much better than BFH as Jim Bowen would say .
Depends if Sheffield are jockeying to win the main trophy (the Grand Final) or get a bigger cheque for next season. In all reality despite top 2 meaning more money for the following season the main prize is still the trophy and the medals this season, hopefully Leigh will be involved in the top 2 AND the trophies
Top 2 or win GF from outside top 2 -if in doubt the prize is top 2 not winning the GF - the league is the be all and end all this year.
Heres a question for you Leythers , how many games do you reckon a team can afford to lose this season and still finish in the Top 2 ?I did think 3-4 but it could now be as many as 5 .
The only answer to that Charlie is NONE until a top two position is mathematically secured for Leigh and the quicker the better.
Complacency will be our biggest threat here on in.

Very true Harold , as I have said I take nowt for granted , over the past couple of seasons Fev and Sheff have been very lucky , being able to field almost unchanged teams all seasonhttp://retro.rlfans.com/posting.p ... 398070902# , because of very few or no injuries , however Fev have lost Finn , and their most dangerous wing combination of Saxton and Smeaton , have a new Coach , so I feel we can take them .As for the Seagulls it seems Yere could be out for the Season , and their most influential forward Knowles is injured , I just hope we can steer clear of injuries , though that is why we have such a large squad .
As far as Trophies are concerned ?Give me a Top 2 finish anytime , I think its £50,000 for winning the GF , but £500,000 for finishing top and £450,000 for finishing second , Charlie knows the difference .

Still not getting carried away yet, we still haven't played 4 from the top half of the league yet. Once we have smashed them then I might get carried away

Not sure many Fev fans are ruing the loss of Smeaton/Saxton, when we have Mendieka/sharpe - Worthington/etu. Id go as far to say that Mendieka/sharpe are by far the best wing combination in the league.
I agree nowt for the GF this year. Top 2 is a must, anything more is a bonus
....and that includes this Sunday. While it would be nice its not vital to get through. Although as long as the draw balls stay out of the fridge you could still have an all championship quarter final, meaning a championship side in the semi finals of the Challenge Cup !!

Top 2 is the main aim for all teams IMO due to the prize money factor........as for Fevs combinations - would NEVER say no to us signing Worthington or Sharp (IMHO both should be playing SL).
