My eyes are still hurting... : Sun Apr 20, 2014 11:35 am
First of all I know there are probably umpteen threads on this already but having waited 48 hours to post maybe mine is a fresher perspective.Sadly it's still Agar out for me.
Forget about the errors, lack of intensity for much of the game or the fact that Cas actually looked a bit tired to me. Forget the fact that the team probably isn't fit, didn't follow the game plan or that Agar wasn't the one missing tackles. All this is true and self evident, and all can be excused to a greater or lesser degree.
However one staggering fact that cannot be ignored was the team selection and the positioning of players.
Mr Carter put on here once that he didn't understand the game - I admired his honesty. Well all but the most deluded on here will admit that although we know more than nothing about the game we certainly are not experts - we just have a fair knowledge of a sport we love.
So why did Agar go with a line up so stupid that even the most unknowledgeable of RL fans could have told you was ridiculous and then some. It was like a Rubic cube which I expected to slot into the right positions at the next turn - but it never did. Mr Carter you're being taken for a ride by a man whose either lost it or is deliberately sabotaging your team. It's sad it really is I hoped Agar was the one and after the first one and a half seasons he looked like he may be but the last 12 month have been an utter disaster, he's had his chance.
GO
Finally not taking it away from Cas they did a job, and they won't find a much easier one this year.
