The Stats from Friday : Sat Apr 19, 2014 9:30 am
Show it all in cherry and white.

http://www.superleague.co.uk/report/9966

Some key performance indicators

Forwards metres

Farell 166
O'Loughlin 134
bateman 117
clubb 115
Taylor 114
Walmsley 114
Masoe 89

I put Masoe in there purely as he was our second best metre making forward.

Hall of shame to
Flanagan 26 meters from 5 carries
Richards 49 meters 10 carries
Greenwood 49 meters 9 carries
Soliola 50 meters 10 carries also 4 missed tackles
Scarsbrook 58 meters 11 carries

I would give Richards and Greenwood a pass on above as they are kids.

Wellens who has been much criticized for his inclusion ahead of the likes of Flanagan actually made 65 meters from 11 carries, though had 4 missed tackles

Top Tacklers for Saints were Roby with 46 and Hohoia with 32

Top metre making backs
Bowen 183
Lomax 180
Burgess 180
Dawson 101

I think its very interesting to compare the relative performance of southerners Clubb and Scarrsbrook . Many Saints fans mocked Clubbs signing, but he massively outperformed LMS in tackles, meters made and tackle busts.

Sia had a shocker! He missed a lot of tackles with some in build ups to try's but to be fair to sia he missed two while was injured.

Some awful stats there for a derby game. Just shows how much we was dominated.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

And what about those who criticised "fatty Bowen" and his dodgy knees?. Now he has his family over here and the grounds are firming up, he looks a very shrewd signing.

Re: The Stats from Friday : Sat Apr 19, 2014 10:13 am
The overall stats make it look very close, Wigan only made 300 more metres over all (when we played Leeds at LP they made 600 more if I recall correctly) similar tackle count, and we actually made more breaks.

The dodgy penalty on half time, followed by the flukey try left us for dead and it just went from there :/

Can't believe it hasn't been picked up but Dawson: 5 tackles 5 missed tackles - not even meli who didn't like to exert too much energy never reached that ratio of tackles.

Lance Hohaia wins most knock ons award again, but missed 0 so at least he was better in defence this week.

Soliolas 4 missed tackles in 27 may be poor, but that makes Wilkins 4 missed tackles in 20 even worse.

Jordan turners poor performance doesn't translate in to stats. Greg Richards good performance doesn't translate into stats.

Bowen looked good because our kick chase was as bad as I've seen so far this season - at the start of the game he was achieving very little, but as we got lazy he improved. The same could of been said for any full back. To be quite frank Greg Eden or Scott Grix could of posted those stats on us yesterday
