i would definately play mathers against cas.
love him or hate him, he can get passionate and i think he hates cas nearly as much as me!

we were discussing this last week and I agree mathers could go well at centre or on the wing, he definitely has the heart and runs the ball with passion. His quick yards from acting half back are being missed quite badly at the moment. Unfortunately though his confidence at FB seems to be shot.

Also, whilst not reece lynes biggest fan, I think he has been one of our better three quarters so far this season.

Respect your opinion but 100% disagree, in the modern game a FB should essentially be a 2nd stand off with the additional skill of being strong under the bomb and positional sense for kick returns, take your pick of any NRL full back and that will be the case
Richy needs to improve under the bomb but he ticks the others boxes

I'm not sure I ever saw Blaymire link the play in attack, one of the reasons he didn't make it IMO was he offered nothing in attack, to the best of my knowledge Holland was never involved in any attacking play as he was too slow to keep up

Attack is creating space for other players, creating time for players, putting forwards through the gaps, your passing game, kicking game, side steps, hand offs, and controlling play.

Tim smith was instrumental in our attack last year and without him on the pitch the team was clueless yet he hardly scored any.

I think Mathers brings good attacking play for the side, but at the moment he's getting the ball in the wrong places and at the wrong time and unfortunately is playing in a team lacking any structure at the moment

That would be my take on it too, Tim and Richie worked very well together, I'm sure it will come with Pita/Sammut working with Richie too. Just a question of time but it will come

Saw him score a good try against London when they played at Brentford., went about 30 yards to score.

Go bk to basics drop Sykes and washbrook. Mathers ain't great but I would have him at full bk.

Can't agree with your reasons given for mathers to do well as a winger or centre captain he hasn't got the heart , runs the ball feeble ,and I've never see him do anything quick ,but that's just my opinion bet you'll have loads fighting to back you up

Mathers track record for us against cas is pretty good so would give him a shirt.

I think people justifiably doubt Mathers' defence but, for the life of me I cannot understand you doubting his attacking flair!
