It currently comes from Hughes and the RFL, with about 1.65 million from Red Hall and whatever the megalomaniac owner deems worthy.
Next year we will see the 1.65 reduced to 900k "parachute" payment on top of whatever the RFL have decided to "donate" to the championship....I say "donate" because it's Superleague's TV money that is being divvied out across all 24 teams now.....although once they close the door on 12 in a couple of years, I suspect that the top 12 will keep all the cash and SL will have become what it was back in 1996.......there's progress for you

We won't know what is happening re-funding or anything else that matter until St David has decided on whether he's going to have a crisis of conscience again. Last time he was reminded he'd applied for a licence and was "encouraged" by the RFL to see it through.....this time around they won't give a toss as they'll already have their 12 teams in place for the top tier and it would be simple to promote one of the relegated championship clubs back to the championship.
v Catalan? The bookies have only given them a 20 points start.....I'd say they are about right.
v Hull? They are playing well enough to deserve 6th spot, but will be coming off the back of a hard derby match...I'd say we'll run them close.
