The usual crucifixion or a genuine resurrection?

The management re-structure is good but can't help feeling that the horse has bolted. If there is a genuine strategy for next season I think we should be told. i.e. where the finance will come from and what the plans are if we are relegated. Good to have Steve back doing the media.

Come on lets win 'The Derby'!

I don't see how fans have the right to know where the money is coming from personally. But I agree about a statement regarding next season, even a throw away comment in the programme notes

It currently comes from Hughes and the RFL, with about 1.65 million from Red Hall and whatever the megalomaniac owner deems worthy.
Next year we will see the 1.65 reduced to 900k "parachute" payment on top of whatever the RFL have decided to "donate" to the championship....I say "donate" because it's Superleague's TV money that is being divvied out across all 24 teams now.....although once they close the door on 12 in a couple of years, I suspect that the top 12 will keep all the cash and SL will have become what it was back in 1996.......there's progress for you

We won't know what is happening re-funding or anything else that matter until St David has decided on whether he's going to have a crisis of conscience again. Last time he was reminded he'd applied for a licence and was "encouraged" by the RFL to see it through.....this time around they won't give a toss as they'll already have their 12 teams in place for the top tier and it would be simple to promote one of the relegated championship clubs back to the championship.

v Catalan? The bookies have only given them a 20 points start.....I'd say they are about right.
v Hull? They are playing well enough to deserve 6th spot, but will be coming off the back of a hard derby match...I'd say we'll run them close.

So don't you think the Broncos will have an equally hard time against the Dragons.

We've not beaten them as the Broncos V.2...in fact, the last victory for London in the plastic derby was in the seasons opener in 2011 at Cardiff. I suspect they have turned the corner after their poor start and will beat us by a clear 20.
Hull FC welcome us off the back of a derby.....we are probably the opponent they would have selected for this round if they were allowed, but I think we will run you close up their.

Opened this thread expecting a miracle that we'd signed Nick Easter... could do with some of his ball carrying ability!

Oh well...

Happy Easter All!

Mind you, by all accounts he's a bit of an @rse off the pitch, so without a firm hand he'd probably turn into another overpaid journeyman for us.
