I recorded the Saints game and watched back the interview with Danny before the game and he said something about the unity of the team last year and they need to get that back which could point to the attutude problems that Anderson refers to.

I'm still of the belief we're a good side going through a tough period as we've gone through an experience (winning something) that the club and many of the team aren't used to and that has consequences in regards dealing with that mentally (realising the need to work even harder and not thinking we've already done the hard work) and with the new set of expectations. We'll get there and, for the first time, maybe we'll come good at the right time of the season.

the way i see it.
we seem to lack confidence in each other as a team at the moment, as has been alluded to, we need to start from scratch and get the basics right that won us the LLS, tackling,passing,teamwork,self belief.
how many times have we tried to score on every set rather than just working some field position and possesion? how many times do we make elementary mistakes in our own third?
even at 8-0 down last night with 3/4 of the game to go we looked like we were trying to score all the time, forcing passes which weren't on, rather than just trying to work ourselves into the game and forcing hull back?

to be fair we looked very tired from the off last night, which was to be expected, but we seemed to lose concentration and confidence very early in the game which led to us been 20-0 down. last year we would have just worked hard to get back into a game like that, this year we seem to just totally collapse.

I thought we tried against Hull. However with the short turn around, our players looked exhausted from the off. Hull turned up to win this game and to take out there CC loss on us. They played very well and would of been hard to beat with a full weeks turn around.

We seem confident at the start of a game but after having everything go our way last season, if we get a bad decision against us or somebody winds us up we get a huge strop on. Broughy as the main culprit can't afford to do that as our captain because if effects the whole team.

I believe we aren't going full on this season and if we can turn it around then we'll be okay come playoffs.

having watched the game back on sky+ it wasn't as bad as i thought it was at the match.
for the first 20 minutes we were blown away, a combination of hull starting the match very very well, silly mistakes from us and we really did seem knackered, but after that we did ok i thought, just basic errors and wrong decisions.
had we not had a bad start like we did which knocked the confidence we could have been right in the game.

chan was immense for us,even more so when i watch it back.

i think things will click in the 2nd half of the season, hope so anyway.

No panic needed as we have a good squad capable of beating any team in this league!

Our better performances have been against Wigan, Leeds, wire and saints! Bar the end of that wire game we have looked a force and matched the best sides in a league!

We just need to replicate that effort and aggression against all sides! No complacency!

The league is getting better as more teams again this year are being competitive! Was a great comp last year and ok we are low on the table but the likes of widness, Cas are pushing the other big teams! Salford have made a marked improvement! It just makes it more interesting the closer the teams get together!!

Let's just stick together and accept that we have bed. Below par at times and hope the lads can get some consistent form and get some points on the league table!!
