This tedious 'only true derby' stuff is simply a lame attempt from Hull people that their clubs are somehow relevant.

They are technically right. But castleford in in Wakefield met so as Wakefield is a city that's a true derby.

Leeds and hunslet must have been a huge game in the yester years, but the last time I remember hunslet playing Leeds in the top flight was at elland road in 86 or 87. And as average as the Leeds team was in those days, hunslet where still cannon fodder.

As the term is connected to Lord Derby, it can only be applied to the horse race or the Saints/Wigan game. That is the true derby. Any misappropriation by the urchins living to the east of the Pennines is regretful.
