This Sunday (15th July) is to be the first Heritage Day at Cougars. Great players of the past such as: Terry Hollindrake, Sid Hebden, Albert Eyre, Garfield Owen, Derek Hallas, Dave Garbett, Brian Jefferson, Dave Jickells, John Stephenson, Paul Moses, Andy & Phil Stephenson, Jason Critchley, Danny Seal and Jason Ramshaw among others wil be returning to the club and hopefully meeting the fans. Mick O'Neill has indicated he will be on the mic to introduce them.

Maybe they should have gone for throwback shirts, like the US sports team tend to do during the season?

Bit late now, but worth considering if this gets repeated?

Throwback jerseys is a good idea, I mentioned it to a few people last season, and start of this season, should be a 1992/93 3rd division jersey for a game next year, (would be good against batley, as we beat them to win the trophy).
it would be the 20th anniversary of the cougars 3rd division championship win.
Maybe get some of the players from that season to come down to cougar park, and in the evening tell stories from that season. It could be an all day event, and it would be great. so to those who make the fixtures, our directors want to get in there and say that we want to play Batley, at home on Good friday 2013.
Maybe get a load of replicas done and sell them in the shop, and if anyone has a shirt from that year, then free admission to the game, If you can have ladies day, then why not this?
Justa bit of forward planning and ideas for next season..
