They are, but for that they do need to attend a half day course, and be able to get to at least L3 on Space Invaders.

Quite.

I'm surprised Dally hasn't been on moaning about how inefficient, costly and just plain useless they are.

Oh, wait...

The problem is too much regulation in this sector that's stopping the free market from solving this issue. G4 should be allowed to pluck anybody off the street and throw them into the job. Instead, they have to train them to a standard which is just a waste of time and money. I mean, we're only talking about one of the biggest sporting events in the world and preventing terrorism and all this red tape is doing is stopping them taking short cuts. Cut the red tape and then maybe perhaps we can run this competition on the cheap as it was surely intended.

Personally I don’t see the problem, why not force the unemployed and those claiming disability benefits to fill the shortfall? For heaven’s sake those in wheelchairs can even provide their own seating as they man the entrances.

They could multitask - wheelchairs with rocket launchers? Sounds awesome.
I can't believe the news today.

Some Tory git on radio today said 'there are plans to privatise the police and G4S have not done their chances any good'

I hope we are not going to see fat, sweaty coppers with GCSE grade F in 'general studies' on £12k anytime soon.

As outsourcing is on the verge of popping up in this thread you might find this bit about Romney interesting. Basically a pre-cursor to NHS outsourcing of services.
