Not really tbh. I have a horrible gut feeling the ARLC are going to delay expansion until 2018. Even then I am not convinced they won't go with the two safe options of a Q'land and NSW team. This is RL we are talking about, we are hardly known for setting the world on fire when it comes to sensible expansion!

Not designed yet (that one I posted was just a fans mock up idea). I suspect they will be designing them over the next couple of months ready for the SG Ball team KO in January. Expect to see fan replica ones around that time (we will also know by then if and where expansion will happen).

JB are you in Perth? I fly into perth at the end of august, pirate ahoy for this pommie! I think changing the logo and name is a great idea and will bring interest from outside of the usual WA reds fanbase.

Why exactly would the expansion be delayed?

I can't understand the logic behind this. The NRL needs to maximise the product.

There is long term potential for two top flight divisions.

Why rush? What's a year or two when these clubs are going to be around for 50+ years?

$'s. Every year without a 9th game to sell is $30-40mill a year in lost income. Gallop should have had enough confidence in the game in 2011 to announce expansion then, if he had we might not be getting the estimated $200mill less than AFL in the next TV deal that is predicted.
