Then it's a lack of confidence and self belief. If it's a lack of confidence and self belief then what are we paying a sports psychologist for? Isn't their job to make a player have self belief and confidence in themselves?

If it was a "lack of form" why should that mean..."it's a lack of confidence"? The conclusion does not necessarily follow.

Here's a few more for you:

if it's just a lack of form then it's:

- conditioning problems

- nutritional problems

- rehabilitation problems

- facilities problems

You are a smart poster, you know that Nathan Brown is the epicentre of the problems.

In every single sport self belief and confidence plays a massive part to how well you perform.

My Daughter did work experience at the Giants the other week and saw quite a lot of the players. I asked her what the mood was like between the players and coach and she says from what she saw that they all get on really well. So going on what my Daughter saw, I'm not one of those that goes along with the 'trouble in camp' claims. I genuinely think it's a confidence thing.
The only thing that contradicts my thoughts is the lack of effort and aggression(controlled) on the pitch.
On Sunday I want to see better line speed, aggression, desire and composure. If we do all those things then we're in with a shout and if we lose then i'll have no complaints.

No denying confidence is important. too much can be worse than too little. not sure trouble in the camp and confidence need to be linked in some way.

I had a boss who was a smashing bloke. got on well with him. Anyone, or anyone's daughter, seeing us work together would see we got on well. sadly that did not make my boss competent. There was no trouble in the camp. A very happy - under performing - department. He never dealt with individual under performers so they too were happy. Most of us stayed in touch with him after he got sacked. the new guy was less likeable but the department was far more productive.Sometimes being nice and trouble free does not get the job done.

I have no inside knowledge, but I get the impression the scenario you describe could apply to the Giants. Everyone like Nathan, but he makes baffling selections which we as fans don't understand. If the players don't understand them either that is very likely to affect confidence. Its difficult to be at your best if you don't believe in what is being asked of you.

Lack of confidence doesn't equal a 50 point drubbing by Cas. My team, Hull, are low on form and confidence but we still compete. Your result this week smacks of players not caring or trying.

Hull 16-42 Huddersfield this year in the cup. Why did you lose by so many?
