One thing for certain if the piece written by the club is correct then Chase is hardly home grown is he ??
look elsewhere

Chase is home grown, he plays for England :D

Holdsworth isn't home grown either, think they mean 'home based'

Why has the rumour suddenly been quashed? Because we haven't announced him in the same day as he has rumoured to have signed?

Whatever the case, there are plenty of people making strong claims for or against chase coming, there's bound to be upset!

Why would the club be exploring the possibility of overseas halfs if chase was a done deal?

I think paea knocking us back has meant we're now looking at spending his wedge on a half back

Cas have lifted Chase's ban, if he was on the way out they wouldn't have bothered.
I am paying Johnny Whiteley 0.000001p per decade to use his image, he's fine with it.

He's also their playmaker and with 8 games to go maybe they have an eye on a very very slim chance of 8th place.
The Mighty Hull FC, Carlsberg don't do rugby league clubs....but if they did..........

I actually think they could be something in these chase rumours . I don't think it's a done deal like some have said but the way hull have responded to the rumours I think there close to at least 1 deal for an half back . McRae not really going to come out and give the full run down on deals or say we're nearly done on the chase signing etc , but I think we're pretty close .

One thing McRae didn't do in the story was deny that Chase was a target of Hull's. When rumours like these reach club level their spokesman, in this case McRae always deny and quash the rumour beyond all doubt. I think the one thing that will put Hull off Chase is the £350'000 price tag.

Maybe the club are giving the impression that they have several players lined up, so that they can get a better deal from the player/agent/selling club. Players and Agents do this all the time in reverse, such as NRL players claiming they have a big offer from SL on the table, to get more money out of their existing club.

If Pearson was willing to spend silly money on average footballers I dont see the problem paying 350k for chase tbh
