I wouldn't be suprised if there are only one or two departures this close season with no new faces coming in.

Age is merely a number

If they're worth a contract, they get one
I they're in form, they play.

Yes, we do have some "mature" players, but, hey-ho, those "mature" players won LLS last year, are currently 2nd in the leage, and have the "easier" of the CCSF's, this weekend.

Yes, they're going to have to be replaced, someday, and I dare say, Mssrs Smith, Moran et al, have allready sat down and discussed this.

Gentlemen, rest your sphincters. It'll be OK. Don't panic.

Great Post.... Well said

A quick trawl through the Wigan ranks shows Carmont just turned 34; Fielden 32; Finch, Lima (just) and Richards 30.

With 3, probably 4 off at the end of this season Wigan are shaping up to be a very young outfit on 2013.

I wonder what the age range of the leeds rhinos was in about 2003 ish. They would have had Burrow, Sinfield, JJB, Bailey, mathers, etc. They probably had a few more mature playersS as well. They didnt do too bad over the following 9 years.

Not so much "Logan's Run" more a "Dad's Army". I know our sport is hard, very hard! but it looks well that when you've turned 30 you are over the hill and past your best. I don't think so!

Yes it will!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, but it may need some changes, but they won't be as drastic as you suggest.
