It's really becoming a case of change or die for RL in this country IMO, and I know which I'm betting on. Far and away the number one problem facing SL is Stuart Cummings and his merry band of men. We fans can only take it for so long before we walk away.

Trouble is the top four teams supporters wont agree as the game on the whole always sides with their teams

Been saying the same about Cummings for a long time. He's had a big budget and delivered absolutely nothing in terms of improvement in refereeing standard. What an nice cushy number he is on. I am seriously disillusioned from what I have seen this season from officials not just in our games but in others too where I've been neutral.

As for the disciplinary procedure it ought to have improved with the introduction of grading of offences but unfortunately there's still plenty of leeway built in for decisions to be questioned in terms of consistency and bias. I have little doubt that players of some clubs are treated more leniently than others and frankly it stinks.

There's some overreaction and melodrama on here. If compared to Moa's hit on Rinaldi or Ablett's attempted gouge on Manu, then I can't see what the problem is. Did McGoldrick move the referee or not? The answer is yes. It is a clear offence, clearly stated and has been for years, it's not as if it was only recently introduced.

All the pissing and moaning on here or getting a petition up isn't going to do anything. A far better solution would be to construct an intelligent and insightful letter to our Chairman. He and his colleagues ARE in positions of influence and if suggestions for making clear and tangible improvements to the way the game is operated can be made, they'll listen and take the points forward. Especially if there is a perceived danger of losing revenue.

If McGoldrick wanted a ban, he could've done what Rich Codd did to Tommy Senior, now that really was worthy of a ban

Advice is what we seek when we already know the answer - but wish we didn't

Indeed it has. Unfortunately the way it is dealt with, even in the same season, is inconsistent at best and outright biased at worst.

This is why I'm "pissing and moaning" - some don't even get banned when charged for the same offence at Grade C level

Hull should appeal without fail - the same arguments used in the Webb grade C case could equally well be applied to McGoldrick.
