do it like hull, just a coach until were short on numbers then play him, save on the cap as theoretically (and i might be wrong as i dont know how it affects it) we would only count weeks he played in the cap. Bit like Hull with radders.

Radford's whole wage will count - since he was re-registered the first time at least.

I assume we'll be spending less than the cap next year, so it would be budgetary constraints rather than the cap which'd be an issue.

You'd think that if we were giving him extra responsibilities, he'd want more than he originally asked for to be just a player - so I'm dubious.

Most SL clubs have learned from Warrington to allocate/differentiate payments on the basis of the individuals role in the club.

For example, players such as Jason Netherton who has a dual role within the club (1) as a player, and (2) as part of the clubs community liaison team. I don't know what the % split is but it is an acceptable practice re the SC workings.

I hope we get value for money from his community duties.

I've heard they defer players wages to their partners jobs, i.e said player earns 0k thus off the cap whilst his Mrs is on 100k being a cleaner at the club!

I believe that was a loophole that was used but has now been closd by HMRC, perhaps one of the accountants that frequent these boards could claify the position .
